  1. The normal bundt or tube pan has a ten-cup capacity, so any pan with the same capacityshould work. With a really dense cake such as this (and most pound cakes), the idea is to not use one big round cake pan, as the middle will be soggy while the outsides get dry – you’d be better off using a larger loaf pan (perhaps a pullman), so as to be narrower.
